NORTHMINSTER WORSHIP EXPERIENCE FOR MARCH 15, 2020

Introduction

Welcome to our online worship experience. These are strange times! With all of the concern over the coronavirus, we will be worshipping in the virtual world for a few weeks. All other church activities are cancelled through the rest of March as well. We will make decisions about worship in April as we see how this very fluid situation is progressing.

Click here for a downloadable "order of service".  This page will be your songs & message. I suggest you gather your family together and sit in silence for a few minutes before you begin. In the sanctuary you cannot skip components or jump ahead, so try not to do that at home either.

If you need to chat or have pastoral care concerns, email me. Though this format seems so strange to us, the same Spirit is with us wherever we are. May you feel that Spirit as you worship.

-Pastor Jordan

Call to Worship- Psalm 100

Make a joyful noise to the LORD, all the earth!

Serve the LORD with gladness!

Come into his presence with singing!

Know that the LORD, he is God!

It is he who made us, and we are his;a

we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

Enter his gates with thanksgiving,

and his courts with praise!

Give thanks to him; bless his name!

For the LORD is good;

his steadfast love endures forever,

and his faithfulness to all generations.

Opening Prayer

Lord, as we enter your presence in this new and unfamiliar format, remind us that we am yours, that you are ours, that we in the church are each other's. Distance cannot break our spiritual bond. Open our hearts and minds to what you have to say, show and do within us. In Jesus name, Amen.

Scripture- Psalm 20

[1] May the LORD answer you in the day of trouble!

May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!

[2] May he send you help from the sanctuary

and give you support from Zion!

[3] May he remember all your offerings

and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah

[4] May he grant you your heart's desire

                   and fulfill all your plans!

[5] May we shout for joy over your salvation,

and in the name of our God set up our banners!

May the LORD fulfill all your petitions!

          [6] Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;

he will answer him from his holy heaven

with the saving might of his right hand.

[7] Some trust in chariots and some in horses,

but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

          [8] They collapse and fall,

but we rise and stand upright.

[9] O LORD, save the king!

May he answer us when we call.
